During the Jin and Yuan dynasties, regime changes caused population movements.Jurchen migrated to Henan,Shanxi, and other places to avoid war. After the collapse of the Jin Dynasty, they further migrated back to Hebei and Shandong regions. After the extermination of the Song Dynasty, some Jurchen further migrated to the southern region. Some Jurchen also migrated from the region of Han to the border areas along with the dispatch of Mongolian officials or due to the recruitment of garrisons and border guards. In addition to war factors, the recruitment of hereditary local governor of the Han ethnic group, legal influence, and the transfer of official positions will also have a certain impact on the migration activities of Jurchen.Due to the fear of "miasma" in the south or the reluctance of officials from Mongolia and Semu to travel to the south due to their long journey, officials serving in the south will appoint some Jurchen. However, according to the edict of the Emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty,"The Mongols were appointed as the Darughachi of each road, the Han people were appointed as the steward, and the Hui people were appointed as the tongzhi, and this regulations were always customized." After the Emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty, there were fewer cases where the Jurchen appointed Darughachi. The etiquette of "Bai men" in the marriage custom of Jurchen was very popular in the society at that time, but it also met with opposition from some people. In addition to being influenced by sinicization,Jurchen in the Han region will also be influenced by Mongolization,as well as by Semu culture, manifested in intermarriage with Semu people,as well as Semu changes in names and languages.Through frequent exchanges between different ethnic groups, ethnic integration during the Mongol and Yuan dynasties was promoted, and the unification of the Yuan Dynasty was promoted and consolidated.
