This report is based on the author’s participation in the Korean Economy course in the master’s degree program “Business Informatics” jointly organized by Tianjin Normal University and Sehan University in Korea.The author used the recording of this consecutive interpretation practice as the material for this report to analyze the difficulties in this practice: the accent of the speaker and the logical relationship in the content in the listening comprehension stage,digital interpretation and the allocation of attention for note-taking and the brain memory in the memorization stage,and how to organize the interpretation of highly specialized contents such as terms and equations in the target language expression stage.Lai’s dynamic RDA model of interpretation combines its three aspects,namely relevance,adaptation and deverbalization with the three stages of interpretation,namely the listening comprehension stage,the memory stage and the target language expression stage.After listening back to the recording,the author summarized specific strategies for the above difficulties that occur in different stages of the interpretation process by combining this model.This report explores how a comprehensive theoretical model,the dynamic RDA model of interpreting,can guide interpreters in dealing with problems arising in the three stages of interpreting.For the problems of listening comprehension caused by the speaker’s accent and the logical connection in the text,the author cites examples to analyze,and the coping strategy is to grasp the main information and reason out the main idea according to the relevance between the texts.In view of the memory problems caused by figures interpretation and note-taking,the author cites examples.The coping strategy is to focus on memorizing in the brain and take notes as auxiliary strategies and to form imagery association memory in the brain out of the source language shell.In response to the target language expression problems such as dense terminologies,highly specialized formulas,wordy translations and uncritical grammar,the author provide examples and analyze.The coping strategies are to integrate information,omit unnecessary repetition,and supplement the highly specialized terms and formulas with appropriate additional translations to make it easy for acceptance of audience.This report is based on formal interpretation practice and aims to help the author and other interpreters notice and realize the difficulties of such interpretation and how to overcome them and enhance the quality of interpretation under the guidance of the dynamic RDA model of interpretation.
