This paper is a practice report on E-C consecutive interpretation of a medical lecture. In April 2019,the 2019 Jiangxi Provincial Clinical Transfusion Academic Conference and the International Asia-Pacific Academic Conference on Blood Types and Genomics were held in Nanchang. The author served as an interpreter for foreign experts and scholars in the conference such as Nobel Prize Laureate,Tim Hunt, whose lecture on Cell Cycle and Cancer was the keynote lecture of the conference. This report focuses on the author's consecutive interpretation of the lecture as the case study object. This report is guided by the Interpreting Dynamic RDA Model(Lai Yihua,2014),which has combined three common theories:relevance theory, interpretive theory and adaptation theory, and innovatively proposed a "comprehensive model"suitable for interpreting practice and teaching. And it guides the process of listening, memory and expression in interpretation. The author makes use of the relevance, deverbalization and adaptation in the model to carry out an in-depth analysis and reflection on the performance of consecutive interpretation combined with cases.Through the case analyses, the following findings are gained:1.Pre-interpreting preparation can greatly help the interpreter's listening comprehension in relevance;2.Graphic memory of deverbalization can greatly expand the interpreter's capacity and length of memory;3.The expression in the target language should adapt to the demand of theme and audiences;4.The guiding significance of the Interpreting Dynamic RDA Model in E-C consecutive interpretation of medical lectures is proved.
