Yin Yun Ji Zhu(《音韵集注》)was written by Gao Ming Zhi,a native of Fu Shan,Shanxi in 1799.The book is based on Fan Teng Feng’s Wu Fang Yuan Yin(《五方元音》),and the order of the four classes in the original rhyme chart has been adjusted, and minor rhyme attributions and homophones have been added to the rhyme book.It is a rhyming book that combines rhyme scheme and rhyme book. This paper begins with a comparative analysis of compilation style, the phonological characteristics of rhyme charts, and the correspondence between rhyme charts and rhyme books of Yin Yun Ji Zhu,Wu Fang Yuan Yin,Zeng Bu Ti Bi Wu Fang Yuan Yi(《增补剔弊五方元音》),and the inheritance relationship between Yin Yun Ji Zhu(《音韵集注》)and Wu Fang Yuan Yin in terms of phonological features is generally confirmed.Secondly, the phonological features of the sound, rhyme and tones are discussed in detail through a specific analysis of the characters listed in the rhyme scheme of Yin Yun Ji Zhu.Finally, the phonological system of Yin Yun Ji Zhu was determined by comparison with the Shanxi phonetic literature Deng Yun Jing Yao(《等韵精要》),and the phonological features of the modern Fu Shan dialect. We suggest that Yin Yun Ji Zhu is a combination of a rhyming chart and a rhyming book, reflecting the characteristics of modern northern official dialects, and in terms of compilation features, phonological system and phonetic features,it belongs to the series of ancient phonetic books of the Wu Fang Yuan Yin.
