| The social and commercial value of popular vocal music is immense,and it has broad development prospects.However,its teaching in major Chinese universities is relatively new,as traditional bel canto and ethnic singing still dominate the teaching mainstream.Thus,improving the current situation of popular vocal music education in universities and enriching relevant teaching outcomes is of significant practical significance.This study selected the Hunan Vocational College of Art as the research object by conducting field investigations to explore and analyze its existing problems in popular vocal music education,and to propose suggestions to improve its current situation.Through literature analysis,this study summarized the relevant situation of popular vocal music education at home and abroad and clarified the core concepts and key theories related to the research aim.It found that existing research is insufficient and provided the theoretical basis for this study.On this basis,using a combination of questionnaires and interviews,this study designed investigation contents around the content of popular vocal music education,and collected information from three major subjects: music department leaders,popular vocal music teachers,and students in the direction of popular vocal music to obtain a comprehensive consideration of their different perspectives and standpoints.By summarizing and analyzing the investigation results,it identified the problems in popular vocal music education in Hunan Vocational College of Art and attributed them to three main reasons: limited school teaching investment,traditional teaching concepts of teachers,and insufficient student internal motivation.Finally,according to the attribution results and the previous theories,targeted measures for improvement were proposed from three perspectives: the school,teachers,and students.This study finds problems and proposes targeted countermeasures through the status quo investigation,which is expected to improve the current situation of popular vocal music teaching in Hunan Vocational College of Art,and is expected to provide some reference for popular vocal music teaching in other higher vocational colleges.At the same time,this research considers the positions and opinions of different interest groups during the investigation process,which is expected to enhance the persuasiveness and scientificity of the research,and has certain innovative value. |
