In October 2014,General Secretary Xi Jinping hosted a symposium on literary work and delivered an important speech.This important speech pointed out the direction for the reform and development of aesthetic education in schools and provided an effective guidance.Since then,each school has begun to focus on solving common basic problems in aesthetic education,using their own advantages to explore new paths and achieve results.However,the results achieved by each school are not the same and effective.Therefore,the aesthetic education of various schools needs to be further improved.What is more,music appreciation course,as one of the important ways to implement aesthetic education in schools,is of great significance to improve its teaching achievements.As a result,many experts and scholars have studied the course of music appreciation in different degrees and at different levels,and put forward relevant opinions.However,at present,due to the different conditions of various schools in China,the development of music appreciation courses is not very smooth,especially in higher vocational colleges,which is worth our consideration.This paper takes the opportunity of The National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan issued by the State Council in 2019 and The Ministry of Education's Opinions on Effectively Strengthening the Aesthetic Education in New Age Colleges.This paper will start with the music appreciation course in higher vocational colleges,Guided by the content framework of the course standards,and combine with the author's teaching experience and the conditions of real-time communication with various brother colleges.This paper selects music teachers and students of higher vocational colleges in south Shanxi Province as the research object,and investigates the curriculum orientation,teaching objectives,teaching contents and curriculum implementation suggestions of music appreciation courses in higher vocational colleges in south Shanxi province by questionnaire survey.In the end,through the analysis of the investigation results of four dimensions,the author finds out the problems and causes in the implementation of music appreciation course in four higher vocational colleges in south Shanxi Province,and puts forward some teaching suggestions to promote the development of music appreciation course in combination with School-based Curriculum Standards.The author expects to explore the methods and strategies suitable for the development of music appreciation courses in higher vocational colleges,so as to promote the development of aesthetic education in higher vocational colleges.
