Research On The Influence Of Square Dance On The Spiritual And Cultural Life Of Farmers

In recent years,the vigorous development of square dancing in rural areas not only helps to improve the physical quality of villagers and respond to the call of national fitness,but also enrichis the spiritual and cultural life of villagers and changes the lifeless phenomenon caused by the serious hollowing out of the village.As young and middle-aged people migrate to work,rural women mostly take on the responsibility of supporting the elderly and taking care of children.They contribute a lot to the family,but because of their small economic contribution,their efforts are often ignored or erased.The mood of this kind of people is the "barometer" of a family,and it is particularly important to pay attention to their spiritual and cultural life.Only when their spiritual and cultural life is rich,can it be conducive to the formation of good family style and civilized village style,and realize the comprehensive revitalization of the countryside.Square dance is one of the favorite cultural and sports activities of rural women.This activity first arouses the enthusiasm of rural women,thus driving more people to pursue spiritual and cultural life,which helps to enrich the spiritual and cultural life of farmers,change their spiritual outlook,and provide a steady flow of spiritual power for rural revitalization.Some scholars have concluded the positive impact of square dance movement through experiments,that is,square dance movement can significantly improve the body self-esteem and subjective well-being of square dance dancers compared with before the experiment.However,at present,there are few researches on the influence of square dance on peasants’ spiritual and cultural life and no complete system has been formed.The existing researches tend to be theoretical and lack empirical researches.Due to the lack of relevant research on the influence of square dance on the spiritual and cultural life of farmers,the government is difficult to realize the importance of rural square dance in time and take various measures to support,guide and manage rural square dance,thus restricting the development of rural square dance.Therefore,it is particularly important to explore the influence of square dance on peasants’ spiritual and cultural life.This study conducted a questionnaire survey and in-depth interview with the relevant personnel in Jiagou Town,Suzhou City,to understand the influence of square dance in the town on the spiritual and cultural life of farmers,and according to the survey results of square dance in Jiagou Town,analyzed and summarized the current development status of square dance,and put forward the corresponding solutions.The results of the survey are as follows :1.Square dance in Jiagou Town has a good development trend on the whole,and the masses have a deep foundation.2.Participants of square dance in Jiagou Town have no distinction of class or status and are highly inclusive.This group is mainly middle-aged women,they are engaged in a variety of occupations,education is not high,all levels of income groups are involved.3.The vast majority of participants participate in square dance exercise with the motivation of physical exercise,enriching spare time and shaping body shape.The exercise time is mainly concentrated in the evening.The main types of exercise dance are national dance,aerobics and modern dance.The exercise rhythm is mainly medium rhythm and medium fast rhythm.Participants generally exercised for more than30 minutes,and the frequency of exercise was generally more than three times a week,which had a good exercise effect.4.Most square dance participants in Jiagou Town know square dance through watching others dance and the Internet,and they learn square dance mainly through square dance members and online videos.The number of professional leaders in Jiagou Town is small,but the participants are generally satisfied with the existing square dance teaching.But at the same time,they also expressed a desire for more professional guidance.5.Most of the participants can exercise through square dancing to enrich their spiritual and cultural life to a greater extent.According to the interview with the relevant personnel of square dance in Jiagou Town,Suzhou City,it can be understood that the positive influence of square dance on the spiritual and cultural life of farmers is reflected in: 1.Build up the idea of fitness and improve farmers’ physical quality.2.Get rid of unwanted pastimes,open your mind and relieve anxiety.3.Enrich spiritual and cultural life,enhance identity and find self-worth.4.Change the consumption concept and promote the development of cultural and sports industry.5.Build a new social platform to enhance unity and add color to the appearance of the village.The negative effects are reflected in family conflict caused by the conflict between old and new ideas,noise nuisance and neighborhood conflict caused by the occupation of public space.In addition,the author also investigated and studied the restrictive factors in the development process of square dance in Jiagou Town,the degree of which was from serious to light: lack of professional guidance,monotonous way and content of the development,noise nuisance,limited venue,limited funds,bad weather hindering the development of the activity,secular ideas and prejudices.Based on the actual situation of Jiagou Town,the author puts forward the following measures for the development of the town square dance: 1.Do a good job in the management of square dancers.2.Organize relevant active activities and competitions according to local conditions.3.Standardize and institutionalize square dance activities to lead the vane of civilization.4.Increase capital investment,improve the hard conditions of cultural and entertainment activities 5.Do a good job in publicity and education,improve the villagers’ cultural quality.6.Strengthen the exchange and docking of urban and rural square dance culture to narrow the cultural gap between urban and rural areas.
