In the wave of economic and cultural globalization,the world is in an era of great development,transformation,and adjustment.Cultural exchanges between China and the world are becoming increasingly frequent,and cultural integration and development have entered a new era.As a carrier for carrying and disseminating culture,museums carry the mission of people’s happiness and beauty.With the assistance of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,a new type of museum cultural system characterized by "participation","experience","communication",and "digitization" has gradually formed.At the same time,the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed the "National Cultural Digitalization Strategy",which provides important guidance and guarantees for promoting the high-quality development of museums and promoting the prosperity and development of national culture.This article takes Jenkins’ theory of "participatory culture" as the research perspective,and takes the construction of "museums" in the digital era as the research object.Through case analysis,field research,and other research methods,it sorts out the operating modes and mechanisms of some museums at home and abroad.By analyzing the construction of their spatial field,the digital path of exhibitions,and the new interactive experience mode of crowds,it upgrades and transforms the existing museum operating modes,Attempt to build a new participatory operating system in the digital era,explore more diverse and autonomous ways of participation,make the ways for audiences to acquire knowledge more diverse,and drive their active participation,thereby achieving the effect of education and entertainment,and making museums live.The framework of this article is divided into five parts.The introduction section explains the research background and purpose of the paper;The first chapter provides an in-depth interpretation and sorting of the concepts related to participatory culture and the current development and construction of museums,and extends the concept and connotation of participatory museums;Chapter 2 explores and analyzes the current operational mode of museums;Chapter 3 defines the modes of participation,conducts research and analysis on cultural venues under the influence of participatory culture,obtains first-hand information,provides practical cases for the paper,and finally highlights the significance of value construction for museums under the perspective of participatory culture;The final chapter summarizes and sorts out the entire text and provides prospects for future museum construction.Overall,this article attempts to explore the inherent driving force of participatory culture on museum construction in the contemporary context by combining participatory culture with digital backgrounds,attracting audiences to participate more actively in the operation of museums,becoming active participants rather than passive recipients.The author hopes to use this topic to further reveal the connection between museums and audiences,It has certain inspiration value for the construction of future museums.
