The Characterization And Singing Analysis Of Zi Jun In The Opera "Sad Passing"

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mr.Lu Xun,the first lyric psychological opera"Sad Passing" was produced in 1981.It was composed by Shi Guangnan,a "time singer".It had a milestone significance in the history of Chinese opera and had a profound influence on the development of Chinese national opera.The opera describes Zijun’s brave struggle against feudal ethics for love,but he was defeated in real life.With the constant collapse of his beautiful fantasy,Zijun eventually died and Juan Sheng would spend his whole life in endless regret.This paper consists of introduction,text and conclusion.The text can be divided into four parts,from the perspective of the author’s practice,the character image of Zijun and three arias research and analysis.The first part of the text is combined with Lu Xun’s original work and Shi Guangnan’s life,and analyzes the creation background of the opera "Sadness".The second part is to explore the "contrasting" and "tragic"characteristics of Zijun character image,and analyze the different embodiment of "contrasting"characteristics and the reasons for the formation of "tragic" characteristics.In the third part,the author analyzes the three arias from singing skills and emotional expression.The fourth part is the author’s experience in the learning process.This paper takes arias of Zijun in different periods as examples,analyzes the aspects of character image building and soprano singing skills,helps singers better understand the psychological changes of Zijun in different periods,and provides references for better image building and improving singing skills of Zijun.
