| Every era has youth movies for every era.Influenced by economic,cultural,social background and other factors,youth movies in different times have different creative style and presentation content.The growth of teenagers is the main object of youth movies.In many domestic youth movies,the body assumes the function of narrative expression,which is an important window for us to see the times and the reality.Domestic youth films developed rapidly around 2013 and occupied an important position in the Chinese film market.However,around 2017,domestic youth films experienced an important transition from romanticism to realism.A large number of films are based on real events or focus on topics,and focus on teenagers who rarely get attention.To express their survival situation and mental journey.In the domestic youth films after the transformation,the body first stands out from the screen as the focus of the lens.The focused and emphasized body assumes an important narrative function in the film,and becomes the engraved carrier of multiple words,which implies profound cultural connotation.The body is a material form as well as a content carrier,which can play many “roles” in the process of telling the story completely in the film.In the creation of youth films in China,the domestic youth films since 2017 most directly show the highlight and emphasis on the body.From the simulation of the perception of the characters’ bodies by the lens in the most intuitive sense,to the various body symbols highlighted,and to the isomorphism of the characters’ bodies shown by the images,they all emphasize the existence of the body and make the body participate in the construction of narrative discourse as the carrier of meaning expression.The body has played an important role in the narration of domestic youth films in recent years.By influencing the basic elements of film’s narrative,such as plot,conflict and narrative space,it exerts an effect on the narrative process of the film,so as to concretly present the sensitive emotions and living situation of teenagers.From the perspective of body narrative,this paper takes the body narration represented by Daniel Pound and Peter Brooks as the theoretical basis,combines the body theory of many scholars,and focuses on the creation of domestic youth films of recent years to explore the function and role of the body with strong presence in the narrative of film.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter focuses on the flow of body narrative in domestic youth films,excavates the writing of narrative discourse from the body,and gradually focuses on domestic youth films in recent years.The second chapter focuses on the creation of domestic youth films in recent years as the center to explore the characteristics of the body narrative,this is,in what way the creator make the body act as an important carrier of ideograms to act on the writing of narrative discourse;The third chapter specifically discusses how the body is highlighted and emphasized by the camera in recent years of domestic youth films to participate in the narrative process,mainly from the three aspects of plot,conflict,narrative space to explore the body’s participation and influence on the narrative of domestic youth films in recent years.The fourth chapter discusses the value and limitations of body narration brought by domestic youth films in resent years from the perspectives of film and social culture. |
