Chinese Sports Film From The Perspective Of Body Narrative Studies

Sports film,as a unique type of film,has carried multiple meanings since its birth.The pictures and sounds with both order and change endow sports film with a charm beyond sports.The sports spirit with the development of human civilization can be effectively spread with the film as the carrier.The body,as the starting point of the development of human civilization,has created countless behaviors and actions in the course of tens of thousands of years of evolution,and has also engraved itself with historical and cultural traces.The close relationship between body and film has a long history.This paper focuses on the body in Chinese sports films with body narrative as the theoretical support.It mainly uses text analysis,comparative research and inductive interpretation to explain and analyze the body narrative in sports films in various periods since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,and discusses the significance of the image body in the narrative level of Chinese sports films,as well as the internal mechanism of this significance,Reflect on Chinese sports films from the perspective of image body,and then provide effective significance of body image for the development of Chinese sports films.On the basis of defining the two key concepts of "sports film" and "body narrative",this paper clarifies the relationship between sports film and body narrative,and believes that body narrative is an important form of expression of sports film,while sports film is an effective carrier of body narrative communication.Both of them realize the meaning of body at the level of cultural symbols through the media of image and sound;Through text analysis and comparison of Chinese sports films,this paper summarizes the discourse connotation conveyed by the image body in Chinese sports films in four different periods,from the deviation and discipline of the body in the "seventeen years" period,to the "liberation" and "growth" conveyed by the image body in sports films in the context of the new era,and then to the dream body under the east wind of the Olympic Games in the new century,Finally,to the landscape tendency revealed by the image body under the influence of consumer culture in recent years,the domestic sports films in different periods contain different discourse connotation through the image body,which has deep reasons of the times behind it;The third chapter of this article analyzes the image body in domestic sports films from the perspective of narrative power,and summarizes the body that appears in a concentrated way,the body that yearns for transcendence,the body that transmits spirit,and the body that pursues dreams.These four image bodies are not alone in domestic sports films,but multiple.They play a role in promoting narrative,either implicitly or explicitly,and have their own dynamic mechanism;Then,the fourth chapter of this article explains the expression of Chinese national spirit in Chinese sports films,and believes that the body narrative in domestic sports films mainly displays three aspects of patriotism,unity and self-improvement in Chinese national spirit,which also exist in the body narrative of Chinese sports films in multiple forms;Finally,this paper reflects on the current problems of China’s sports films with critical thinking,and points out that the main problems of China’s sports films from the perspective of body narrative are the insufficient expression of the beauty of body movement,the unclear expression of the relationship between body and mind,and the insufficient diversity of body narrative discourse.Therefore,at the end of this paper,three suggestions are put forward to solve the above problems.It is believed that in the future creation of sports films in China,the first step should be to innovate the form and highlight the beauty of physical movement at the image level;Secondly,we should inherit the tradition and use the physical and mental monism theory in Chinese traditional philosophy to express the physical and mental relationship of the characters in sports films;Finally,domestic sports films should jump out of the stereotyped theme expression,enrich the theme and deepen the ideological connotation of the film.
