Research On Chinese Screen Font Design Based On Comfortable Reading

In the context of the digital era,mobile phones,computers and other mobile terminals are the most important media for text reading.The presentation of text will also change in its essence,and people’s reading methods and behavior will also change.Now,under the restriction of low pixel and low resolution screen technology,the use of screen fonts is the same isoline,resulting in a rigid and temperature-free phenomenon at present,which triggered the reflection on fonts.The physical characteristics of selfillumination of the screen itself: light penetration,contrast and the stimulation of brightness to the human eye.These factors increase the number of eye movements,which will make our eyes prone to reading fatigue.After being "domesticated" by boldface for a long time,it is generally believed that boldface is the most suitable for display and reading on the screen.So is boldface suitable for reading on the screen for a long time? Why is it generally believed that boldface is the most suitable for screen reading? How to establish the original aesthetic and return to local culture?Firstly,this paper discusses the development of Chinese screen display fonts,which has been affected by the limitations of western culture and technology: by combing the evolution of screen display;Secondly,taking comfort reading as the starting point,it is mainly to distinguish the comfort of reading Song typeface in the era of paper media and the comfort of reading bold typeface in screen display,to explore the most comfortable font features in the long time reading in screen display in the future,and hope to combine the advantages of two different media and the principles of printing font design to achieve the screen display font design for the purpose of comfort reading;Then,through the investigation and analysis of the existing successful font cases,based on the traditional print font,combined with the physical characteristics of the screen,the design principles of the screen display text font based on comfortable reading are summarized;Finally,the text font design practice based on screen display is carried out,and the font design method for comfortable reading is proposed.I hope to put forward a new idea and development direction for the screen display font design at present and in the future,which can realize the localization design idea without simply relying on the methods and aesthetics of western font design,so that people can close the distance between screen display font and people in the process of reading;The consideration of screen display font design is not only limited to the discussion of technology,but also more about font design from the perspective of humanity;Moreover,the design process of screen display font in this paper is not only the traditional "creation" process in the field of graphic design,but also the designer is not only the creator,but also the communicator of a comfortable experience.Through the design to transfer the temperature to strengthen the experience,it is believed that it can bring better screen reading experience for the audience to become the focus of screen font design in the future.
