Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To explore the understanding of traditional Chinese medicine on pulmonary nodules, and to treat patients with moderate risk pulmonary solid nodules due to deficiency of qi and blood stasis with Bu Qi San Jie Formula.By observing the changes in relevant indicators such as nodule diameter,TCM syndrome score, and nodule malignant risk prediction score, the efficacy and safety of Bu Qi San Jie Formula in treating moderate risk pulmonary solid nodules due to deficiency of solar energy and blood stasis syndrome were evaluated, providing clinical basis and treatment direction for TCM intervention in pulmonary nodules. Methods:Using a randomized controlled study method,60 patients with moderate risk pulmonary solid nodules with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group and the control group.According to the guidelines for the treatment of pulmonary nodules, the treatment group was given a prescription for tonifying qi and dispersing nodules, while the control group was not given special treatment, with a course of 3 months.Observe, record, and compare the changes in efficacy indicators and safety indicators such as nodule diameter,TCM syndrome score, malignant risk score of pulmonary nodule model, and conduct statistical analysis of the data results to preliminarily explore the efficacy and safety of Bu Qi San Jie Formula. Results:After strictly following the criteria for shedding, termination, and exclusion,60 cases were finally included in clinical observation. After statistical analysis, the results were as follows:(1)There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups before treatment in terms of gender, age, smoking history(or exposure to second-hand smoke),nodule diameter, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, and Mayo model malignant risk score, indicating comparability in research.(2)Efficacy analysis related to pulmonary nodule diameter:After treatment, the nodule diameter in the Bu Qi San Jie Formula group was significantly smaller than before treatment,P=0.000,with a statistical difference; There was no significant difference in the diameter of nodules in the control group before and after comparison,P=0.113;After treatment, the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).The total effective rate in reducing the diameter of pulmonary nodules in the treatment group was 66.7%,while the total effective rate in the control group was 6.7%.There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups,P=0.000.Note:The treatment group is superior to the control group in terms of efficacy related to reducing the diameter of pulmonary nodules.(3)Analysis of curative effect related to TCM syndrome score:Intragroup comparison before and after treatment:The TCM syndrome score of the treatment group was significantly reduced,P=0.000,with a statistical difference; The TCM syndrome score in the control group decreased, with a statistical difference.Compared between groups, the reduction of TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group was significantly greater than that in the control group, and P=0.000,with a statistically significant difference. The total effective rate in the treatment group was 73.3%,while the total effective rate in the control group was 16.7%.Comparative analysis between groups showed a significant statistical difference of P=0.000.The treatment group is significantly better than the control group in reducing TCM syndromes and improving clinical symptoms.(4)Analysis of efficacy related to the malignant risk score of the Mayo model:In the comparison of malignant risk scores of the Mayo model, there was a significant change in the score before and after the treatment group,P<0.01,with a statistical difference; The changes in the control group were not significant, and there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).After treatment, the malignant risk score of the Mayo model in the treatment group decreased better than that in the control group.(5)Safety:Before and after treatment, there were no significant abnormalities in the patient’s blood routine, urine routine, stool routine, liver and kidney function, and other safety indicators. This prescription is safe. Conclusion:This prescription can reduce the diameter of nodules, improve clinical symptoms, reduce TCM syndrome score and the risk of canceration. Moreover,it was safety and showed value of clinical application and significance of further research.
