Research On The Characters And Artistic Conception Of Ma Yuan's Landscape Painting

Most of Ma Yuan’s landscape paintings use figures as spotlights,and most of his paintings use spotlight character activities as themes to convey the painting’s meaning and feelings.Therefore,taking the point scene figures in Ma Yuan’s landscape paintings as the main research object,painters often place different figures in different painting situations,constructing scenes of characters in different time and space,and create an atmosphere through landscapes to enhance painting The theme,at the same time,these images together outline Ma Yuan’s painting interest and humanistic feelings.Combining the background of the times,we can explore the relationship between the point scene figures in his landscape paintings and the conveying of the image.In recent years,although there have been many research works on Ma Yuan’s related issues,they have mostly discussed the causes of his painting style,the style of the paintings,and the authenticity of his works.There are few researches on the characters in his landscape paintings.Through the combing and analysis of related documents and catalogs,this paper finds that the morphological characteristics of the dotted figures in Ma Yuan’s landscape paintings are closely related to the social environment and cultural atmosphere of the Southern Song Dynasty.The painter cleverly arranges the scene figures in the landscape paintings in order to point out the theme and convey a certain connotation and interest through this.Therefore,this article takes this as the research object,discusses the relationship between the characters in the landscape paintings and the expression of the painting,and then examines the humanistic themes in Ma Yuan’s paintings.This article combines documentary description and image analysis,and discusses the image characteristics,pen and ink language,and the conveyance of the image in Ma Yuan’s landscape paintings.It focuses on the analysis of the theme,style,pen and ink technique and inner interest of the dotted figures in Ma Yuan’s landscape paintings,so as to understand the relationship between the dotted figures of the landscape paintings and the conveyance of the image,and then explore the spiritual connotation in his works.The thesis is mainly divided into five parts,the first part is the introduction.The second part sorts out Ma Yuan’s life and his paintings through the analysis of the literature description.At the same time,it sorts out Ma Yuan’s landscape paintings with some scenic figures based on the relevant records in the "Complete Collection of Song Painting" and other books.The third and fourth parts mainly focus on image analysis.On the basis of the previous article,they classify the landscape painting works of the characters in the scene,and further analyze the relationship between the characters in the scene and the conveyance of the painting.In addition,Ma Yuan’s landscape paintings with some landscape figures have greatly inspired my sketching and creation.Therefore,the fifth part mainly discusses the enlightenment of his pen,ink,composition and painting intentions to my sketching and creation during the process of studying and researching Ma Yuan’ s landscape paintings.
