Fu Shan(1607-1684)was a famous thinker and calligrapher in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,and he has made great achievements in learning and art.Fu Shan’s calligraphy style was deeply influenced by the ideological liberation of the late Ming dynasty,and he strongly opposed to learning from contemporary people.Instead,he advocated in-depth study of ancient standards,but did not stick to ancient standards.He could combine "standards" and "implication" harmoniously,with distinct characteristics of the times.In the inheritance of calligraphy,Fu Shan studied under Zhong Yao(151-230),Wang Xizhi(303-361)of Wei and Jin dynasties and Yan Zhenqing(709-784)of Tang dynasty.He followed the ancient calligraphy of Qin and Han dynasties.In terms of calligraphic innovation,Fu Shan took advantage of many strengths and developed his own unique artistic style in seal character,official script,regular script,Running script and cursive script.In the aspect of calligraphic theory,Fu Shan wrote Shuang Hong Kan Ji,which proposed the calligraphic thoughts of"Tian Ji" and "Si Ning and Si Wu",which had a profound influence on later generations.Fu Shan was praised by later generations for his noble character,profound knowledge and outstanding artistic achievements,and became a model for later generations of scholars to learn.This article chooses Fu Shan’s three volumes of the Thousand Character Classic----small standard script,official script and cursive script as the research object,through multidisciplinary intersection and makes a detailed analysis of its content and form by means of field investigation,literature research,comparative analysis,graphic combination and scientific measurement.Firstly,the author probes into the causes of Fu Shan’s repeatedly writing the Thousand Character Classic in various aspects.Secondly,it makes a detailed analysis of the artistic characteristics of brushwork,structure,composition and ink in the three volumes of the Thousand Character Classic by Fu Shan,which is the core of the article.Finally,Through the above research,can distinguish the false and true contents of the Thousand Character Classic,can also further understand the "ancient" and "new" aspects of Fu Shan’s calligraphy.The study of Fu Shan’s three volumes of the Character Classic calligraphy works is not only conducive to the improvement of calligraphy practice ability,but also has important academic and artistic value for the study of Thousand Words and "Bei Xue" in the Qing dynasty.
