Climate change is one of the most important issues facing mankind. It is common to all of humanity because of its direct and indirect impact on human life and health and the environment we live in.The international community has made numerous arrangements and plans to address climate change. In response to this,China has twice released the white paper on Responding to Climate Change:China’s Policies and Actions nationally. The translator selects the fourth chapter "Witness to Climate Change" of Climate Change and Global Public Health as the translation text and research object.Guided by Skopos theory, various translation methods such as part-of-speech conversion, semantic derivation, sentence splitting, addition, and subject transformation are applied to the translation of text on lexical, syntactical and textual aspects. The translation practice report consists of four parts. The first part describes material sources, the book authors and contents as well as the significance of the selected topic. The second part introduces all the preparations, the difficult points in the pre-translation,translation theory, drafting and proofreading. The third part is the main body, which gives a detailed analysis of typical translation cases under the guidance of the three principles of Skopos theory. The fourth part is a summary of the author’s translation process and experience gained from the translation practice.Translation is a project that is challenging and arduous, which requires meticulousness and patience. The translator shall always keep learning and improving.Through this translation practice, the translator hopes that people will get to know more about climate change, attach more importance to climate change education and get empowered to tackle it as well.
