An Analysis Of The Creation Characteristics And Performance Interpretation Of Chopin’s Ballade No.4 In F Minor

Among all Chopin’s creations,it belongs to his ballade series in terms of large scale and rich connotation,and "Ballade No.4 in F Minor" was completed in the late stage of Chopin’s creation,at which time the creation techniques were relatively mature.The essence of the song,the characteristic of "piano storytelling" is brought into full play.This piece of music is lyrical through narrative and has a romantic style,and it is worthy of people’s repeated scrutiny in terms of artistry and technique.This paper takes Chopin’s Ballade No.4 in F minor as the research object,and the scope of research is defined in the compositional characteristics and actual performance of the piece.This paper first discusses Chopin’s life and the genre development and creative background of the ballade,and then starts from three aspects: innovative musical structure,melody with tragic and vocal characteristics,and various rhythmic characteristics.Finally,according to the sonata-style structure,the performance techniques of each part are analyzed,and then the difficulties encountered in the performance process are analyzed,and the solutions are attached.
