| Marriage,as an important life stage in human life,has always attracted widespread social attention.Under the realistic background of slow population growth and late marriage and childbearing in China,how to understand the concept of marriage and love formed by contemporary urban youth is of great significance.At the same time,marriage custom,as an important part of folk custom,has always been a direct reflection of people’s social life.As the most representative ritual link in marriage customs,wedding has always been one of the focuses of folklore scholars and anthropologists.The content and form of wedding ceremonies are different in different periods.But no matter how the wedding ceremony changes,it always penetrates and embodies various social relationships and values formed by people in society.Therefore,studying the changes of marriage customs through the concept of marriage and love provides a better perspective for us to observe social folk customs..This paper first describes the wedding ceremonies in three different periods in the city streets,and focuses on the overall form of modern urban hotel wedding ceremonies from the concept of cultural embeddedness.In terms of content,modern weddings not only inherit the tradition,but also incorporate the characteristics of the times.The wedding ceremony is no longer just a process of educating and disciplined newcomers.The wedding ceremony is decided by the self-design of the newcomers.It is more reflected in the expression of emotional value and self-worth identity.In terms of the structure of wedding guests,the degree of dependence on blood and geographical relationships has gradually declined,and the importance of academic and professional relationships has gradually become prominent.It can be seen that the influence of traditional in-law relationships on wedding ceremonies has weakened.In the relationship between family and affinity,the families of both sides still continue the long-term confrontation of strength.Co-financing the wedding also shows that the two want to fight for the right to speak in family status.The host and best man and bridesmaids who were absent in wedding ceremonies in the past are now increasingly valued,which reflects that wedding ceremonies are more symbolic,experiential and emotional.The newlyweds are willing to hire a professional photography team to shoot the wedding ceremony,which not only proves their recognition of the importance of marriage,but also shows that the wedding ceremony is more practical than the traditional practical significance of the past,and it is now more viewing experience,becoming a form of performance.Market demand has driven the development of wedding service companies,and they have also been included in the role of wedding ceremony builders.Then it is found that the deep-seated factor of this kind of change lies in the change of urban youth’s view of marriage and love.Through field investigations,case interviews and deep descriptions,it analyzes the factors that affect the formation of wedding views,analyzes the reasons for the changes of urban wedding customs under the influence of marriage and love views,and tries to provide a value-based thinking angle for the study of marriage customs in folklore.The specific changes in urban youth’s views on marriage and love have certain characteristics,that is,from relying more on blood and geography in the past to open mate selection,and the way of making friends has changed from single to multiple,showing the integration of traditional and modern,emphasizing individual freedom,The era characteristics of intergenerational co-participation.Secondly,the reasons for this change are discussed.Modern cultural concepts have influenced the young people’s cognition of marriage and family,from the "no choice" of marriage in the past to today’s more emphasis on the loyalty of marriage and love,from the individual being controlled by the family to emphasizing the individual’s independent status in the family.In terms of social structure and system,gender imbalance compels young people to choose to extend their education,and at the same time deepens their rational cognition of marriage,which finally leads to young people’s attitude towards marriage and love being "cold inside and hot outside",resulting in the real problem of late marriage and childbearing in society.Therefore,this paper believes that young people always hold a concept of "individual self" in their cognition of marriage.Whether it is making friends,choosing a mate,holding weddings,and having children,young people have always been looking for freedom in tradition.The process of constantly reshaping values between modern two-way.On the basis of advocating individual freedom,young people are loyal to choosing personalized hotel weddings.In general,this kind of ritual is de-embedded from the traditional society of the past,and then re-embedded in people’s social life in an individual free form.However,the original values have not been completely eliminated,but have been deepened in the meaning of modern culture.The cognition and understanding of the behavior of marriage and love turns marriage into a dual process of individual choice and family participation.As a result,wedding ceremonies have changed from traditional to modern,from private to public,and from single to plural.These changes also prove that young people actively choose to accept and Actively creating social folk customs,young
