| The communication media represented by short video has come in the public vision in pace with the development of network platforms and intelligent mobile terminal devices.Relying on the booming social network platforms,short video has gradually become one of the important communication media in WeMedia Era with merits of terse and quality content and low production threshold,meeting people’s demand of abundant information and fragmentation time entertainment.The industry of short video is growing rapidly,and the content types of it is continuing to be vertically subdivided.Among them,short food video in different types,with its natural advantages,have sprung up on major short video platforms,which have attracted a lot of attention and preference from the public.In recent years,the importance attached by the Chinese government to cultural communication has increased in line with the acceleration of global integration,turning Chinese traditional culture “Going-Out” to be the basic strategy of the current culture development,so the function of short video to spread the excellent Chinese traditional culture has become an inescapable topic.Short food video,as a branch of the short video industry,has played a unique role in promoting regional cultural integration,spreading the China story well,inheriting food culture and shaping national image.In the We-Media Era,short food video has broadened the spreading mode of food information and become a verticalized short video type with numerous viewers and better development.Language is not only a carrier for developing the culture but a part of the culture itself.It also is an important tool for communication,dissemination and preservation of cultural achievements,which is of great importance for short food video.Nowadays,short food video shows distinctive characteristics of the times,but various problems have arisen in the language expression that is an important part of the video.An exploration of the language in terms of value orientation,improper phenomenon,linguistic features and emotional expression reveals that: In terms of value orientation,the deviations in the language have conveyed an ideology that departures from mainstream values and have created an abnormal view of consumption,and the lack of cultural connotations in the language of short food video have made its content superficial and tasteless.In terms of improper phenomenon,the overuse of dialects has limited short food video spreading to a monotonous way,and the plagiarism and vulgarization of language have hindered its innovation and polluted the language environment of short video platforms.The prosiness of verbal content and language presentation in short food video has created a disconnect between food and emotion,making difficulties in emotional contagion to create emotional resonance with audiences.Accordingly,the reasons for improving the language expression and the methods to solve the problems in the language creation of short food video have become urgent issues in the development of it.This study,based on the characteristics statistics of short food videos from Tik Tok,mainly adopts the methods of data analysis,case analysis and inductive research,in order to produces statistical table in five aspects: ranking of fans number,average video duration,video content category,character’s language and language features.Thereinto,the cases with the same characteristics are grouped according to the ranking of the top 100 We-Media publishers in food channel,and then the short videos of them are explored and analyzed from the perspective of language expression that is an important part of the video.Well spreading food stories and culture is important to promote cultural integration.Through proper language expression,the characters are enriched and the local customs are brought to the eyes of viewers,thus portraying a distinctive local human landscape.Language is the main carrier for expressing emotions,which gives emotion to food and conveys affective meanings to warms and heals the hearts of audiences.At the same time,media-based language expression and communication can indeed promote the integration of cultures,build cultural identity and shape the national image.In the last part,this thesis explores the strategies to improve language expression in current short food video to address the problems of it,which can be considered from the following aspects: The first goes to strengthen voice vocalization,purge vulgar content and make language civilized;Secondly,communication subjects should improve their own cultural accomplishment,accumulate cultural knowledge and lucubrate the life of the public;Thirdly,it is necessary to use dialect reasonably and grasp the purpose of expression to bring out the distinctiveness of language expression.Fourth,in addition to the improvement of the communication subjects themselves,relevant external forces should establish a pluralistic co-management mechanism to build the language environment.With the analysis of the language expression of short food videos,this thesis shows the importance of language expression improvement and makes targeted optimizing suggestions for the problems of language expression,in order to give some references for the language creation of short food video. |
