The core of narrative is "storytelling".With the continuous advancement of narrative in interdisciplinary research,it shows strong relevance and interoperability among various disciplines."National Museum ten Fine works award" in improving the exhibition level of national museums,give full play to all levels of museums in the construction of socialist spiritual civilization and material civilization has an irreplaceable role.Museum as an important media of public education,narrative can be incorporated into the museum exhibition space design,relying on the narrative elements,the characteristics and performance of narrative structure and narrative rhythm,rich blocks the theme of the exhibition hall of the plot,shape space present situation of the media,Optimize the cultural transmission of the objects on display,improving museum scene experience,To bring the audience a more modern,technological,empathy and immersive exhibition experience.Firstly,the thesis summarizes the related theories of narratology,and combs the development process of narratology through the three stages of classical narratology,post-classical narratology and narrative in the digital media era.Secondly,based on the four fields of literature,image,film and space,the performance and characteristics of narrative are analyzed.Thirdly,the structure,elements and rhythm of narrative are analyzed for the exhibition space.According to actual cases,This paper explores the narrative content,space media and communication mode of the award-winning works in the promotion of the top ten exhibition works in national museums,and puts forward three narrative space design methods:theme construction and content transmission,light and shadow interweaving and technological empathy,form innovation and cultural re-molding.Finally,combining theory with innovative practice,based on the background of the previous project and the field investigation and research of the old museum,the innovative design positioning of the exhibition space of the museum is carried out,and the narrative is used to express the "narrative" of content,rhythm and media of Nanjing Water History Exhibition Hall.Art design with "story" is the soul of exhibition.This paper hopes that through the research of narrative design of museum exhibition space,it can expand the effective communication power of museum cause,and bring some value and reference to the research and practice of the current narrative space design method.
