| As an important part of Chongqing’s regional culture,Chongqing dialect has gradually faded out of people’s field of vision due to the comprehensive promotion of Putonghua.In order to follow the dialect preservation policy,this paper takes Chongqing dialect as the subject of research and draws on the Chinese characters thinking inherent in “six categories of Chinese characters” to carry out creative design through visual means,hoping to help preserve and transmit Chongqing dialect and culture.Based on the Chinese characters thinking behind “six categories of Chinese characters”,this paper studies the visual design of Chongqing dialect.Firstly,it recounts the research status of dialectal visual design,the Chinese characters thinking inherent in “six categories of Chinese characters” and Chongqing dialect both at home and abroad and briefly introduces the research background,purposes and significance of this paper.Secondly,proceeding from relevant theories about six categories of Chinese characters,it sorts out the characteristics of the thinking behind composition of “six categories of Chinese characters”.Thirdly,it analyzes the interrelation between “six categories of Chinese characters” and dialectal visual design from the four aspects of purposes,design objects,design processes and expressive forms to provide references for dialectal visual design draw on experience from the Chinese characters thinking inherent in “six categories of Chinese characters”.Fourthly,it summarizes how the thinking inspires dialectal visual design and then works out guiding approaches to the design.Finally,it sums up the symbolic vocabulary of Chongqing dialect,completes the Chongqing-dialect visual design “Yu Jian Ni ” by using the design approaches thrashed out in the previous part and applies the design to cultural and creative products,hoping to expand the transmission scope of Chongqing dialect and achieve the goal of inheriting and carrying forward Chongqing dialect and culture. |
