Epic Writing And Painting Characters: A Study On The Visualization Design Of Chinese Characters Based On The Thinking Of "Liu Shu"

Extensive and profound Chinese characters are important symbols of Chinese civilization,not only recording its unique history,but also promoting the development of Chinese civilization.At present,with the continuous development of graphic design in China,more and more designers like Chinese character design,and widely used in graphic design.The study of Chinese character design is of great value in inheriting and developing Chinese traditional culture and injecting new impetus into the design.The author launches the graduation project with the theme of “Drawing and drawing characters: the research of Chinese character visualization design based on the thinking of ‘The Six Categories of Chinese Characters' ”.I hope to make use of the professional knowledge I have learned to design Chinese characters figuratively,so as to show the accurate,profound,rich and flexible graphics of Chinese characters and the unique artistic charm of Chinese characters,it is helpful to inherit and carry forward the excellent Chinese character culture.In the study of design,the author first understands and deeply excavates the cultural connotation of Chinese characters,and then discusses the formation of characters and the characteristics of Chinese characters in The Six Categories of Chinese Characters,it includes “The combination of Chinese characters and picturesadding the meaning of images”,“The construction of Chinese characters with picturescreating the fresh appearance of Chinese characters”,“Chinese characters are also pictures-possessing artistic charm”,etc.,the design principles of “Respecting the meaning of Chinese characters--taking accurate representation as the core”,“Conforming to the font type--maintaining the basic recognition of Chinese characters”,“Painting and calligraphy--pursuing the artistic appeal of Chinese characters” have been established,then,the author selects 14 Chinese characters from three perspectives of “The beauty of artistic conception”,“Poetic nature” and “The implication of scene” to develop the poster design.In the design,on the basis of maintaining the basic font structure of Chinese characters,the author creates an image in line with the information meaning of Chinese characters,and transforms the “Inner meaning” of Chinese characters into “Outer form”,so that the character image can be integrated into one,it has the artistic effect of “Imitating Chinese characters and painting”,which fully expresses the inherent beauty and artistic conception of Chinecharacters,the author also uses ink and wash,mottled texture and other ways to create the mood of Chinese characters,showing elegant and generous charm,so that Chinese characters have a vivid image.Thus,the creation of a new oriental artistic style of Chinese characters pictorial posters,showing the unique visual charm and artistic charm of Chinese characters.
