| Since the archaeological excavations of the New China,a large number of Han Dynasty talc seals have been unearthed in Changsha,Hunan and its surrounding areas.These talc seals are quite different from the bronze official seals and jade seals of the same period in terms of material,use,engraving method,production process and artistic style.The author compares the talc seal with other seals of the Han Dynasty,such as the bronze seal,the jade seal and the general seal.The purpose is to give a certain degree of affirmation to the talc seal and general seal which are different from the mainstream aesthetics of Han official seal,and to draw the conclusion that the seal style cannot be completely determined by the material.Then the author will focus on the analysis of talc printing into the text,through the Chu art aesthetics,the evolution of seal script and scrip,deduced the Ch’ u characters and the Qin and Han Dynasty bamboo slips and silk books on talc.Finally,the author started by talc seal material and folk seal "freehand" thinking,to explore the significance of the current art of seal carving. |
