With the development of society,in the process of traditional sensory experience information transmission,the transmission of cognitive experience is often hindered due to the influence of various factors such as users’ functions and cultural background.Therefore,through more simple and effective concrete visual graphics,the abstract five senses experience information to the audience has become a problem worth thinking about in the design.Based on this,this study takes the audience’s five senses’ experience cognition as the starting point,analyzes it with semiotic principles and methods,and summarizes the key points of visual graphic symbol design that conveys the five senses’ experience information through data extraction and investigation and analysis,so as to provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for such graphic design in the future.Firstly,this thesis sorts out the basic theories of semiotics at home and abroad,and interprets the process of art design through semiotic thinking.Then the visual design as the key content,from the form of composition,color,material texture and other aspects of the analysis of its form.After sorting out theories and analyzing cases,focusing on the signified-signified model proposed by saussure,a semiotic researcher,and according to the information communication framework under semiotics,this thesis deeply analyzes the relationship among audience,sensory experience and visual graphic symbols.Based on this,the author puts forward the principles of appropriateness and consciousness determinateness that we should follow in the construction of the five senses graphic symbols.Under the thinking framework of semiotic theory,seven experimental elements(color,point,line and surface elements,shape and appearance,directionality,position relationship,size relationship and quantity relationship)are summarized and extracted through the grounded theory method.Then these experimental elements were coded and analyzed.Through the actual questionnaire survey and data statistics,the factors that should be controlled in the visual graphic design of five senses experience were finally obtained.The main conclusions are as follows: 1.In the five senses experience graphic design,we should focus on the shape and appearance,point,line and plane elements and color information of the graphic design.2.In different five senses experience graphic design,design elements should be emphasized: in auditory sense experience graphic symbols,focus should be placed on the shape and appearance of graphics and the arrangement of point,line and plane elements;In taste graphic design,we should focus on the point,line and surface elements of the graphic and the synesthetic meaning of its color.In olfactory graphics and tactile(perceptual)graphics,we should focus on three aspects: point,line and plane elements,shape and appearance,and position relations,and also pay attention to the size distribution of graphics and visual guidance of direction.Finally,according to the proposed design thinking frame and the elements that should be paid attention to in the design,the relevant practical works are designed,and the visual display is carried out with plane posters and cultural creations as the carrier.Based on the theory of semiotics,this study experimentally explores the design elements of graphic symbols of different sensory systems,and puts forward the design thinking framework and specific emphasis requirements of graphic symbols of five senses experience.Furthermore,a new visual graphic symbol language is constructed through practice,which provides theoretical basis and methodological guidance for future related design. |
