Construction Of Youth Image In People’s Literature During The “Seventeen Years” Period

People’s Literature was founded on October 25,1949 and has been published for more than 70 years.As the organ publication of the China Writers Association,the country’s highest literary leadership and organization,people’s literature has obtained the identity and status of "national literary journal" since its inception,representing the actual embodiment of the new state power and national interests in the field of literature.Accordingly,People’s Literature has also been given the highest political and cultural mission of new China’s new literature and art,responsible for publicizing the new national will,literary and art policies and literary ideas,and gradually guiding the trend of new China’s literary creation practice.The realization of the imagination,design and practice of the new national literature must rely on and obey the new state power,which depends on the establishment of various mechanisms to master the cultural leadership.As a medium,People’s Literature is an important link in the literary and artistic system.The imagination of the future of the new country will be reflected in this magazine.After the founding of new China,"the Communist Party of China takes organizing workers and peasants and carrying out social revolution as its fundamental task.The important path includes three movements: labor movement,youth movement and women’s movement,which constitute the main body of the people’ in the future." It can be seen that youth groups were an important part of the concept of "people" at that time.It can be said that people’s imagination of the future "people" can be seen from the shaping of the image of youth.To some extent,the image of youth in the "seventeen years" literature carries the imagination of the future country.Youth is the various constructions of the national destiny under the appearance of youth.In the "seventeen years" period,who is naming and defining the image of youth? Which forces participated in the construction of youth images in People’s Literature during this period? What impact does the fictional image of literary youth have on the practice of youth groups in reality? What are the characteristics and evaluation of the youth image constructed in people’s literature during this period?Based on the People’s Literature in the "seventeen years" period,this paper attempts to answer the above questions.This paper is divided into three chapters: the first chapter combs the characterization of "Youth" in People’s Literature,and analyzes people’s specific imagination of youth groups in People’s Literature from the aspects of social orientation,ideological and cultural,political life,daily life and spiritual outlook;The second chapter explains how people’s literature constructs the youth image of "seventeen years" from many aspects,such as the editing strategy of youth groups,the cultivation of young writers,the image expression related to youth and the guidance of youth reading;The third chapter analyzes the influence of the youth image of people’s literature on the practical choice of real youth from the perspective of communication;In addition,there are also defects in the youth image in people’s literature during this period,which are discussed from the aspects of the singleness and homogeneity of the characters,the deviance of the youth image and the deviation of the female youth image.
