| The typical employment problem faced by the Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(MTCSOL)is the lack of high-quality Chinese teachers overseas and the difficulty of finding jobs in China.How to better provide employment guidance for graduates and optimize professional courses and employment planning by studying the employment and career development of previous graduates has become an important topic in the study of the employment of MTCSOL graduates.Firstly,this paperinvestigated the employment situation of Chinese graduates majoring in MTCSOL from 2014 to 2021 through questionnaires.SPSSAU V21.0 was used as a statistical tool to analyze the data of 105 questionnaires collected.The main research conclusions are summarized from the following six aspects :(1)employment distribution;(2)School training;(3)Employment influencing factors;(4)Employment psychology and employment planning;(5)Employment quality and professional correlation;(6)Problems in employment.Secondly,the paper adopts semi-structured interview method to conduct case interviews with 31 graduates in seven different employment fields by purpose sampling.On the one hand,through comparing and analyzing different employment typical case interview to explore the factors affecting employment and career development in the field of different jobs,summary on different kinds of employment job helps the entry preparation,of course,need to should have the professional quality,good staff of professional characteristics,employment to improve vocational ability.On the other hand,Nvivo11 software is used for qualitative analysis of the interview content,and the interview materials are summarized and classified by extracting the same topics,so as to analyze and summarize the common views and the same factors affecting employment.The research findings are summarized from the following six aspects :(1)in the school professional curriculum training;(2)teaching practice and practice;(3)In terms of professional quality and ability;(4)Career motivation and career planning;(5)In employment preparation and career development;(6)Main problems affecting employment and career development in different types of employment fields.Finally,employment-oriented suggestions are put forward from three aspects:optimizing the professional training system and improving the relevant vocational ability,perfecting the employment planning and guidance,and perfecting the vocational support system. |
