A Contrastive Study Of Substantives Words Of Chinese And Japanese Homonyms

Chinese and Japanese homonyms are a unique linguistic phenomenon formed during the contact between Chinese and Japanese languages,among which there are many substantives words.Chinese and Japanese homonyms are the products of the social and cultural changes in China and Japan,which are closely related to the material,system and spiritual culture of the two countries,and deserve further study.From the perspective of cultural linguistics and contrastive linguistics,this paper analyzes the similarities and differences in the meanings of Chinese and Japanese homonyms and tries to explore their cultural meanings.The article is divided into five parts.Part one: Introduction.This part mainly involves five aspects:the source of topic selection,significance of topic selection,summary of research status,the major research methods.Part two: Overview of substantives words of Chinese and Japanese homonyms.Based on the related concepts of homonyms and substantives words from predecessors and books,this paper defines Chinese and Japanese homonyms and substantives words,clarifies the definition criteria of substantives words of Chinese and Japanese homonyms used by the author,and explains the criteria of corpus selection in this paper.Then the substantives words of Chinese and Japanese homonyms are classified according to their nature and meaning.Part three: Comparative analysis of substantives words of Chinese and Japanese homonyms.This part is the focus of the article.Under the framework of nature and semantic classification mentioned above,269 substantives words of Chinese and Japanese homonyms are compared and analyzed..Part four: the cultural causes of the similarities and differences between substantives words of Chinese and Japanese homonyms.Based on the knowledge of cultural linguistics,this paper analyzes and explains the causes of the similarities and differences between substantives words of Chinese and Japanese homonyms and meanings from the aspects of material culture,system culture and spiritual culture.Part five: Conclusion.Summarize the research contents,achievements and shortcomings of this paper.
