Ancient Chinese thinkers promoted concepts such as "Equal Wealth" and "Commonwealth," while Sun Yat-sen offered the "Three Principles of the People." Nevertheless, these ideals have not been achieved. Now,under the guidance of the idea of "Serve The People" as the core of people’s livelihood,a new era of people’s livelihood has begun in the new China. With the founding of the new China 17 years ago,China has embarked on a path of designing for the people, and the phenomenon of "People-Oriented" design has emerged. The first part of the thesis discusses the background and necessity of the topic of study. In the second chapter,I explore how Chinese people lived before the country’s founding, emphasizing Confucianism and Sun Yat-sen’s "Three Principles of the People." Chapter 3explores the connection between the concept of "People-Oriented" design and the new Chinese concept of serving the people. The fourth chapter analyzes the presentation of "People’s Nature" in the design style of the 17 years after the country’s founding.Chapter 5 discusses the achievements and shortcomings of "People-Oriented" design in the past 17 years and summarizes the valuable experience of "People-Oriented" design. The "People-Oriented" design allows ordinary people to enjoy a convenient life from the material level. It enhances people’s spiritual confidence and improves their quality of life.It unites the most extensive social class of the new China population around the Party and lays a solid foundation for the country’s long-term stability. As a result,it has historical significance and relevance for modern times.
