A Report On Conference Simultaneous Interpreting Of Language Service Empowering High-quality Development Of Global Digital Economy

With the continuous acceleration of economic globalization,the digital economy of countries around the world is also booming.At the same time,language services play an important role in the process of mutual communication and learning.Under this background,Language Service China 40 has especially held an online seminar with the theme of “Language Services Empowering High-Quality Development of the Global Digital Economy”.The author selects the speeches of some guests for simultaneous interpreting,and writes this report.This report is divided into five chapters.Chapter one is task description.Chapter two is process description.Chapter three is theoretical basis.Chapter four is cases analysis,which is the main body of the report.To handle the three major problems of redundant expression,complex structure and information shortage in practice,the author uses five interpreting strategies--omission,generalization,segmentation,conversion and addition to analyse the specific problems under the guidance of the Syntactic Linearity Principle.Chapter five is conclusion,which contains the gains from the practice,limitations and suggestions for the future.At the same time,with the impact of COVID-19,video conference has increasingly become an important way of communication for people around the world.Through this practice,the author hopes to bring some help to student interpreters in video conference interpreting services.
