| The relationship between literature and politics is a question that theories of Chinese and Western literary must answer.In the first half of the 20 th century,the traditional Chinese literary theory of "literature carries the way" was impacted,and the relationship between literature and politics became a focus of research at that time.The dissertation consists of four chapters.Chapter 1 explores the reasons for the transformation from traditional Chinese literary theory to modern literary theory,starting from the late 19 th century to the early 20 th century.Chapter 2 to 4 explore the three relationships between literature and politics.The second chapter explores the departure of literature from traditional politics and its literary independence,starting from Wang Guowei’s "useless use",going through literary independence and modern enlightenment,to Hu Shi’s literary reform and Chen Duxiu’s literary revolution.The third chapter inherits the instrumental theory of the relationship between traditional literature and politics,ande regards literature as the weapon of enlightenment.From Liang Qichao’s "Three Realms Revolution" to the Chinese Leftist Writers League and the "Speech at the Yan’an Literature and Art",it studies the guiding significance of politics on literature.Chapter 4 explores the aesthetic tension theory of the relationship between literature and politics,as well as the interaction and infiltration of literature and politics,which aims to realize the aesthetic tension through aesthetic appreciation.The study of the relationship between literature and politics in the first half of the 20 th century has certain practical significance to the construction of current and future literature. |
