The "miraculous enlightment" theory by Yen Yu i s the core of his poetic theory, and a most original definition of the theory, giving prominency to the personal nature of the aesthetic subject. It has been inheriting and deve I op i ng the literary aesthetics in the Chinese traditional literary theory since " the Chu Poetry" and it is also a fruit of the pre-Qing Lao-Chuang's " Intuition and Miracle" theory and the Zen's" Enlightenment" aesthetic theory . It has a remote influence on the later literary creation and the oretical ideas.This paper demonstrates the present research situation (including by stages, intension, contrast) on the " miraculous en Iightment " theory , and reveals that the " miraculous en Iightment" theory inherits the ancient Chinese literary theory (including thought, culture, poetic theory)as well.
