| Armenia,as a country along the ancient Silk Road and the "Belt and Road" construction of China,has had close ties with China since ancient times.Since its establishment in 2009,the Confucius Institute at "Bryusov" National University of Armenia(hereinafter referred to as the "Confucius Institute of Armenia")has made outstanding contributions to the friendly exchanges between China and Armenia,and its online Chinese courses have played an important role till today.Researching the online Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute in Armenia is of great significance to the Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute in Armenia and the cultural exchanges between China and Armenia.Through a relatively comprehensive investigation of the current situation of online Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institutes in Armenia,the research finds that although online Chinese teaching plays an important role in the Confucius Institutes in Armenia,there are still some problems.These problems mainly include: poor flexibility of teaching methods,the teaching method used in the class is single;the teaching of Chinese character writing is limited,the error rate of students writing Chinese characters is high;class management is hindered;teaching resources are insufficient.In response to these problems,the teaching design was made.In the teaching design,attention was paid to using a variety of teaching methods to attract students’ interest in learning,using reward and punishment rules to regulate students’ behavior and discipline,using Tencent conferences instead of the Zoom platform,and adopting the "live + recording" teaching method to avoid the impact of objective factors such as instability internet and electricity.Through teaching practice,it is found that students’ class enthusiasm has been improved,and behavioral discipline has improved significantly,Thus the methods in the teaching design are effective.On this basis,combined with the characteristics of the Confucius Institute in Armenia that focus on oral communication,cultural integration and multilingual teaching,and writer’s own teaching experience,it puts forward some suggestions for the online Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute in Armenia: firstly,it puts forward the development line from the Confucius Institute Suggestions on cultural promotion activities,training of teachers in sub-language,Chinese culture and talent training,improvement of teacher evaluation system and integration of teaching resources.Secondly,personalized teaching and contextualized teaching are proposed,as well as adopting "live + recorded" and "online + offline" teaching forms.What’s more,the outlook for international Chinese education to carry out online and offline mixed teaching forms and accelerate the joint construction of a shared resource library are proposed.Online Chinese teaching played an important role during the epidemic,and after the epidemic,the online and offline hybrid teaching mode has become an important way and means of international Chinese teaching.Therefore,the research on the online teaching of the Confucius Institute in Armenia has reference significance for Chinese language teaching in Armenia and other countries. |
