| Aging is a complex process of change,involving biological,behavioral,social and environmental impacts.The research on aging has gradually become an international trend.Now memory aging is one of the most controversial research fields in contemporary aging psychology.Most of the significant issues in memory research involve it.In view of this,the author decided to select the Encyclopedia of Gerontology,which introduces all aspects of gerontology in detail,and selects the memory part of the book to contribute to strengthening the exploration of memory aging.This text is a typical non-literary text,with strong technical,complex syntactic structure,and professional terminology.It requires the author to repeatedly revise the translation to make it accurate.The author’s main purpose of this report is to analyze the problems encountered in the translation process from the three aspects of comprehension,expression and adaptation based on the rigorous,simple,concise and fluent characteristics of the language and text of the encyclopedia.It proposed the author’s own thoughts and improved versions about the matters caused by insufficient professional knowledge,incorrect language understanding,lack of macroscopic thinking,inaccurate translation of terminology,and improper Chinese expression in the translation process.This report mainly adopts the CEA(Comprehension,Expression,and Adaptation)writing framework proposed by Dr.Li Changshuan.The author hopes that through this translation practice to strengthen her understanding of the translation of encyclopedia-style information texts.Besides,provide some advice for students who will translate encyclopedia texts in the future.The author hopes that through this translation practice,it can provide reference for translators,strengthen their understanding of encyclopedic information text translation,expand their research fields and pave the way for future career planning. |
