Research On The Development Status Of The Confucius Institute For Traditional Chinese Medicine At Pécs University In Hungary

As the country’s political,economic and cultural soft power continues to grow,China’s ties with the world are becoming ever closer.The development of regional country-specific Chinese language education is both a content attribute of regional and country studies and a practical need to adapt to the development of Chinese in the world.The comprehensive construction of a regional country-specific Chinese language education system,the understanding of the region’s country-specific economic and political environment,education system and education policies,as well as the construction of Confucius Institutes that undertake Chinese language teaching and cultural dissemination work,have far-reaching implications for the construction of an international Chinese language education system.In order to study the development of Confucius Institutes in Chinese language education in regional countries,the article takes the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Pécs as the research object,focusing on the background of the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Pécs,the current teaching situation and cultural exchange activities,using the overall system analysis method and the interdisciplinary research method,combined with the SWOT analysis model,to propose optimisation strategies for the development of the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Pécs.Through the SWOT model,the development of the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Pécs is explored in four aspects:strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats.At the same time,the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Pécs has encountered bottlenecks in its development,such as the varying levels of students’ Chinese language proficiency,the need to develop a class placement mechanism,the single type of language course,the lack of Chinese medicine culture in textbooks and the lack of innovation in the cultural activities.Through the results of SWOT analysis,the thesis further puts forward some effective suggestions,suggesting that the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Pécs can accurately locate the identity of the Confucius Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and innovate its mode of operation;improve the curriculum and build a standardized curriculum system;make full use of existing resources and build three-dimensional teaching materials;establish an online resource bank and realize resource sharing;develop contemporary culture and expand dissemination channels;set short-,medium-and long-term goals in the face of the new situation;adapt to the new situation and provide online and offline teaching.Facing the new situation,the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Pécs has to set short,medium and long-term goals,combine online and offline teaching,develop a new development model and strengthen the development of the Confucius Institute.Finally,the thesis proposes a model theory on the sustainable development of the Confucius Institute of Chinese Medicine with Chinese characteristics.Figure 7;Table 5;Reference 75...
