| The paper discusses the discourse function,semantic type and pragmatic function of discourse marker "Hua Shuo Hui Lai " on the basis of semantic grammar theory and corpus survey.Firstly,in terms of discourse function,this paper regards "Hua Shuo Hui Lai " as a Back-turning marker on the basis of previous research,pointing out that it has the functions of "returning" and "transforming".Then we explain and verify its functions in detail in order to optimize the problems of insufficient generalization,lack of formal verification and in-depth explanation in previous studies.Secondly,in terms of semantic types,this paper divides the semantic relationship into three categories by the semantic direction: enhanced,weakened and extended.The semantic direction of the front and back of "Hua Shuo Hui Lai " is the same as the enhanced relationship.The semantic direction of the words before and after "Hua Shuo Hui Lai " is opposite as the weakened relationship,and the opposition is kind of comparative.Extended relationship refers to the extension of the topic.There are two situations of "topic return" and "topic change" around the discourse of "Hua Shuo Hui Lai ".In addition,this paper uses three methods to assist the verification of the semantic relationship of "Hua Shuo Hui Lai ",they are of co-occurrence method,substitution method and addition method.Thirdly,in terms of pragmatic function,this paper discusses the pragmatic function of "Hua Shuo Hui Lai " from two aspects: discourse function and interpersonal function.It is believed that the discourse functions of "Hua Shuo Hui Lai " are mainly discourse cohesion,reverting the topic,getting down to business and deeply development topic;its interpersonal functions include drawing attention,euphemistic correction and flexible expression. |
