Comprehensive course is the main course of the Chinese as a foreign language classroom,which reflects the comprehensiveness of teaching content,language skills,teaching methods,and language literacy.The comprehensive course is divided into three stages according to students’ Chinese level: beginner,intermediate and high,and the intermediate stage is in a critical period of transition and needs more attention and research.Affected by COVID-19 pandemic,online teaching has developed rapidly in the world since 2020,and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has also adopted the online teaching mode in this context,and the coverage and overall scale have been continuously expanding,and have now become the focus of teaching activities.At the same time,online teaching has also exposed a series of problems such as students’ lack of classroom participation and interaction,and the classroom atmosphere is not active enough.The task-based teaching method emphasizes learning by doing,allowing learners to actively participate in classroom activities,which is conducive to stimulating students’ enthusiasm for learning Chinese.This paper adopts the task-based teaching method,takes the international students of the undergraduate class of the International Han College of Henan University as the teaching object,and designs the fifth lesson Only Buy the Right,Not the Expensive in the HSK Standard Course4(I),in order to solve the problems existing in the online teaching of the comprehensive Chinese course.This paper is divided into four chapters: the first chapter is an introductory part,which clarifies the research background,significance of topic selection,research objectives,research content,research methods,etc.,and analyzes the research status of task-based teaching methods,teaching design of Chinese as a foreign language,intermediate comprehensive Chinese courses,and online teaching.Chapter 2 first introduces the relevant contents of task-based teaching method,including the meaning,theoretical basis,teaching principles and teaching steps of task-based teaching method,and then analyzes the relevance of task-based teaching method and comprehensive teaching of Chinese as a foreign language from the perspectives of teaching objectives,teaching subjects and teaching principles.Chapter 3 first analyzes the teaching elements such as teaching environment,teaching objects,and teaching materials,and then uses the task-based teaching method as the theoretical basis and guidance to carry out the specific teaching design of Only Buy the Right,Not the Expensive;The fourth chapter is to evaluate and reflect on the effectiveness of teaching practice based on the feedback of peer teachers and teaching objects,and put forward corresponding teaching suggestions.
