With the development of TCSL education,more and more TCSL teachers begin to question whether traditional 3P teaching model can satisfy the needs of current Chinese learners.Traditional TCSL middle-level comprehensive course is mainly taught by teachers,and students generally have low learning enthusiasm and initiative.Task-based teaching method gradually came into being in the 1980 s.This method not only respects the dominant position of students,advocating students to learn language in the process of completing task,but also emphasizes the cultivation of students' communicative ability,encouraging learning through practising.In addition,task-based teaching method can,to some extent,solve the problems in middle-level courses raised by traditional TCSL.In consequence,based on the practical experience in Shenyang University,the author tries to apply task-based teaching method to the practice of TCSL,attempting to settle the existing problems of Chinese middle-level comprehensive courses and offer the useful thoughts by researching the teaching case and provide helpful suggestions to first-class teachers regarding to their TCSL middle-level comprehensive course teaching.This article contains six chapters: the first chapter is introduction.It mainly discusses the purpose,significance and research methods of this article,and then briefly generalizes existing research of task-based teaching method,TCSL middle-level comprehensive course and the application of task-based teaching method in TCSL middle-level comprehensive course.It also gives an overview of the basic theory of task-based teaching method and teaching pattern.The second chapter analyzes the feasibility of applying task-based teaching method in TCSL middle-level comprehensive course from the advantages of task-based learning method and the characteristics of TCSL middle-level comprehensive course.The third chapter investigates the current teaching status of TCSL middle-level comprehensive course from the point of view of both teachers and students.The fourth chapter mainly elaborates the design principle of task-based teaching method,and carries out the teaching design and application at the same time.Teaching feedback in obtained after the implementation.The fifth chapter puts forward specific teaching suggestions on TCSL middle-level comprehensive course based on task-based teaching method from three stages: pre-task,in-task and post-task.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of the whole article,providing enlightenment for the teaching practice of TCSL middle-level comprehensive course.
