Study On The Characterization Of Police Documentary

As an important force in ensuring the safety of the people and the harmonious development of society,the work of public security police officers is closely related to people’s lives,and their professional fulfilment comes from the trust and recognition of the people while serving them.Therefore,the dissemination of a good image of the police through different media is conducive to enhancing the public’s perception of the police as a professional group.In the early days,the content and scope of police documentaries were limited,and their creators had to construct a single image of the police.The expansion of the creative body and the rapid development of the documentary industry has led to a more diverse image of the police,which can effectively correct any cognitive bias in the image of the police.By using filming and editing methods that are more in tune with the viewing habits of current audiences,creators can enhance the sense of the internet and attract a younger audience,giving rise to a boom in the creation of documentaries on the police.With the gradual maturity of documentary content production and production methods,creators have gradually refined the image of police officers in police documentaries,breaking away from the original single image and expanding the content from major cases to the people’s side of things,not only recording the daily work of police officers on the front line,but also depicting their private life side,presenting the image of police officers in a three-dimensional and diversified manner.In this article,we will consider our own practice of creating police documentaries,sort out the image of the police in police documentaries,and discuss the ways in which such documentaries construct the image of the police.Firstly,the concepts of police documentary and police image are defined,and the development of police documentary and the characteristics of police image in China are summarized.Secondly,the creative strategies for the construction of police images are explained,and the creative paths for the construction of police images are analyzed from the perspectives of narrative and audio-visual language strategies,enriching the multi-faceted images of police officers with narrative expressions,narrative perspectives and narrative techniques,and analyzing the video communication mechanisms for the construction of police images in two dimensions:picture language and sound language.Finally,the graduation work,"The Growth of Police Officer Song",is summarized and reflected upon.Based on the theoretical investigation and analysis of how to create the image of police officers,the theoretical and practical experience is applied to the creation of a documentary film about police officers,and the problems encountered in the process of creation are summarized and reflected upon.
