Restoration And Reconstruction : The Image Building Of Police In Police Observation Documentary

The police observation documentary describes the real situation encountered by the police in their daily work.In the process of handling a pile of cases,it reflects the harmonious and warm relationship between the police and the people.This display helps to restore the image of the police,change people ’s stereotypes of the police,and enhance understanding and mutual trust between the police and the people.This paper selects two representative police observation documentaries ’ Guarding Liberation West ’ and ’Nothing Small in the City ’ as the research objects,and uses the framework theory to analyze how the documentaries shape the police image and what kind of police image they shape.The first chapter of this paper briefly expounds the relevant theories of police observation documentary and police image,and analyzes the development and change of police image,from the heroic model of ’ Gao Da Quan ’ to the ordinary people of ’grounding gas ’.The second chapter uses the framework theory to analyze the three hierarchical structures of ’ Guardian Liberation West ’ and ’ Big City No Small Things ’,and the high-level structure summarizes the theme of the documentary;the middle-level structure analyzes the narrative mode of the documentary,tells the police story from different narrative perspectives,and builds a three-dimensional police image with different narrative structures.The low-level structure analyzes the audio-visual language of the documentary,the picture language outlines the image of the police,and the sound language expresses the police ’s heart.The third chapter analyzes the text of the police image in the two documentaries.The documentaries shape the police image from the behavioral language,contradictions and conflicts,real self,and living environment,presenting the audience with a vivid image of the police,the image of the law enforcement manager,the image of the social service to help the masses,and the comprehensive quality image of the dissemination of legal knowledge.Based on the above analysis,the fourth chapter restores and reconstructs a comprehensive and authentic police image,which helps to break the stereotype.At the same time,it also inspires creators to strengthen legal education in program content and prevent ’pan-entertainment ’ in program production.
