The relationship between man and nature is an eternal theme of human society. The idea of the relationship between man and nature is one of the fundamental issues of Marxist philosophy and an important part of the theoretical system of Marxist ecological philosophy. In recent years, the frequent occurrence of ecological problems has gradually affected the survival and development of human beings, and people have awakened and begun to pay attention to the increasingly prominent problem of alienation in the relationship between man and nature in the real world.Against this background, scholars at home and abroad have focused their attention on Marx’s thoughts on the relationship between man and nature.Under the background of the rapid development of science and technology and the prevalence of capitalist industrialization,Marx absorbed and criticized Hegel’s idealism view of nature, dialectically developed Feuerbach’s humanistic view of nature, and formed the thought of the relationship between man and nature with the theoretical characteristics of dialectical materialism and historical materialism. With the gradual improvement of historical materialism,Marx’s thought on the relationship between man and nature has grown from infancy to maturity, mainly going through the initial stage of Marx’s understanding of the relationship between man and nature, the stage of multi perspective interpretation and the stage of political economy criticism.By summarizing the scattered thoughts on the relationship between man and nature in Marx’s classic works, this paper interprets the content of Marx’s thoughts on the relationship between man and nature from the perspective of holism.Marx’s thought on the relationship between humans and nature, from the perspective of ontology, emphasizes the priority of nature over human existence and human dependence on nature, pointing out the dialectical and unified object relationship between humans and nature on the basis of practice; From the perspective of epistemology, this paper expounds the cognitive process of human being as the subject of practice to recognize nature as the object on the basis of labor; From the perspective of historical materialism,it reveals that the essence of the relationship between man and nature is the relationship between man and man,and capitalist private ownership is the root of the conflict between man and nature.Only in the communist society can we achieve double reconciliation between man and nature, man and man.The natural, actual, and necessary relationships between humans and nature reflect the three stages of essential harmony, alienated opposition, and harmonious coexistence experienced by the relationship between humans and nature, forming the internal logic of Marx’s thought on the relationship between humans and nature.According to the research,Marx’s thought on the relationship between man and nature provides a theoretical basis for realizing the harmonious coexistence of man and nature,a scientific guide for the construction of ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics, and an ecological value orientation of "double reconciliation"for Chinese path to modernization.
