Research On Visual Art With Artificial Intelligence Technology As Creative Means

Visual art is famous for its many forms and wide coverage.In many cases of visual art creation,works with artificial intelligence technology as the creative means appear frequently.Scholars’ research on visual art with artificial intelligence technology as creative means has gradually increased since the beginning of the 21 st century.Previous researchers have pointed out that artificial intelligence technology has great development potential in the field of visual art creation,and there are many criticisms about whether the works generated by artificial intelligence programs can be called works of art.On the basis of these research results,from the perspective of Art Creation Methodology and referring to modern people’s theory of contemporary visual art,this paper analyzes the main ways of artificial intelligence technology participating in visual art from different cases.In such works where the artificial intelligence program directly generates digital images and shows people,the artist attempts to make the artificial intelligence program imitate the working mode of the traditional painting creator and participate in the creation as the image "maker",and the generated digital images can be summarized into static and dynamic forms.In such works where AI carriers participate in the art scene and accompany the whole process as a part of the works,AI carriers appear as "participants" of behavior performance.They not only cooperate with people to complete the performance,but also act alone by machines.In such works in which the artificial intelligence device inputs information in real time through the camera and then outputs it after processing by the algorithm,so as to interact with the viewer,the audience changes from passive viewing to the necessary condition to trigger the operation of the works.Artificial intelligence often exists as the "intermediary" of interactive experience.Generally speaking,although AI technology participates in visual art in various ways,its role still has rules to follow.In essence,although artificial intelligence technology can simulate human intelligence to participate in visual art creation,artists are the main body of artistic creation.Various devices based on artificial intelligence technology are still the extension of human consciousness,which exists in visual art creation as a medium.In addition,this paper expounds the development context and characterization of artificial intelligence technology,and makes a more detailed analysis of the main clues of artificial intelligence technology involved in the development of visual art creation and the cases of early involvement in visual art creation.This paper discriminates the Enlightenment of artificial intelligence technology in visual art creation methodology,and lists two works inspired by it.Finally,this paper combs the personal creative practice of artificial intelligence,and analyzes the specific works from different aspects such as image selection and processing methods.In visual art creation,the form,effect and types of creative tools of works are not the focus,but whether the artistic expression is accurate.
