A Study Of Geometric Schema In China Contemporary Figurative Expressionism Oil Painting

Figurative Expressionism Oil Painting,as an important part of China contemporary oil painting,is not a general name for a genre or painting with similar styles,but a painting methodology about seeking knowledge.Compared with the observation methods of various schools of painting in the history of art,this form embodies the most essential difference,which contains the painter’s philosophical thinking of tracing the root of things.Based on the combing of the works of China contemporary Figurative Expressionism painters,it is found that there works are all presented with geometric schema language.In this regard,from the perspective of China contemporary Figurative Expressionism landscape oil painting,this paper refers to the basic principles of art phenomenology,art and visual perception and composition,as well as the views and works of China contemporary Figurative Expressionism painters.Then,based on literature research method,case enumeration method,induction and summary method and other research methods to try to reveal the logical reasons behind this geometric schema.First of all,this paper explains the unique way of viewing in China contemporary Figurative Expressionism Oil Painting and analyzes the abstract consciousness of "form".Such a way of observation requires the use of a relatively simple vocabulary,so that the essence of the object is separated from the original complex form.Secondly,in painting,the schema is the external expression of the uniqueness of the painter’s vision and its aesthetic experience.Through the analysis of the "potential" and "force" contained in the different geometric patterns in the Figurative Expressionism Oil Painting,as well as the analysis of the tension composition between the geometric shapes and the edge line of the picture frame,this paper explores the aesthetic laws presented therein.Finally,it’s concluded that this purely intuitive way of viewing objective things actually reflects a kind of abstract thinking mode of Figurative Expressionism painters under the guidance of phenomenological theory.Through simplifying and generalizing the object image,the complicated and disordered object image in nature is reduced to a basic structure including geometric schema.As a core structure of the world,it is the external embodiment of the self-active structure,and also the external embodiment of the artist’s absolute real understanding of the world,so as to eventually tend to be geometric schema characteristics in the form,internal structure and composition of the image.
