| In Chinese,we often use approximate number to express vague quantities,times,ages,etc.The grammar circle has made a careful study of approximate number in ontology and teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The scientific and reasonable arrangement of teaching materials affects the learning effect of learners.This paper takes two sets of syllabuses,namely the General Syllabus for International Chinese Teaching and the New HSK Test Syllabus,and two sets of textbooks,namely Developing Chinese and Liberal Chinese,as the research objects,and investigates the distribution of the approximate number in the syllabus and textbooks.According to the statistical situation,the reasonable and unreasonable points are pointed out,and the corresponding suggestions are put forward for the existing problems.The study found that the two sets of syllabuses have their own characteristics.The two sets of syllabuses differ in the approximate number of vocabularies,the grade of vocabularies and the arrangement of grammatical items.The two sets of syllabuses are consistent in the lexical Settings of “Lai,many,several,upper,put,almost,roughly,about”and the grammatical Settings of “use adjacent number words together,many”.In Developing Chinese,the approximate number are concentrated in intermediate textbooks,and the distribution of approximate number words in grammar items is uneven,mainly distributed in the primary and advanced stages.In terms of the types of approximate number,primary synthesis I covered the fewest types,while intermediate Synthesis 2 and advanced Synthesis 2 covered the most types.The notes section devoted to the expression of the approximate number of explanations and the exercises section devoted to the approximate number of exercises are less.In Liberal Chinese,the proportion of the approximate number is the largest in the intermediate accelerating part II.The distribution of approximate number words in grammar items is mainly in the primary and intermediate stages.In terms of approximate number types,they are relatively uniform except for the relatively small number of primary and advanced categories.Notes and exercises devoted to approximate number are also scarce.In terms of the number of approximate number,both sets of textbooks have the largest proportion in the intermediate stage,followed by the advanced stage and the smallest proportion in the primary stage.In the arrangement of the grammar items of the approximate number,the two textbooks differ in the arrangement content,arrangement order and explanation of the approximate number words.There are many similarities between the two textbooks in terms of the types of estimates and the distribution of approximate number in texts,exercises and notes.In addition,the textbook not only meets the requirements of the outline for the approximate number,but also carries out some expansion.The reasonableness of the two sets of textbooks is mainly reflected in: the outline of the approximate number grammar project fits well with the textbook.The textbook arrangement takes into account the difficulty of students’ learning.In practice,the corresponding exercises about the expression of the approximate number are set.The irrationality is mainly reflected in: approximate number words are unevenly distributed in grammar items.The grammatical interpretation of approximate number words is not precise and clear.The grammatical items are not comprehensive and there is no clear stylistic difference between spoken and written words.The grammar of the approximate number is repeated at a large interval in the textbook and the language points are not practiced enough.Based on the analysis of the approximate number words in textbooks and syllabuses,the distribution of approximate number words in grammar and the types of overview,some teaching suggestions can be put forward.To reasonably distribute the grammar items of approximate number words,teaching step by step.The grammar should be comprehensive,categorize spoken and written language,and explain grammar accurately and concisely.Improve the repetition rate of approximate number grammar,and really help students to master the approximate number systematically and completely. |
