| With the reform of the new college entrance examination,the choice of majors for high school students is of great significance to individuals,families,schools,and even the entire society.This study adopts a mixed research method and focuses on high school students in Guangdong region.First of all,the relationship among parenting style,personality intelligence and professional decision-making efficacy of high school students was explored by psychometric methods.Secondly,semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis were used to further explore the main influencing factors of self-efficacy in senior high school students’ professional decision-making.The research results are as follows:(1)The parenting style of senior high school students is mainly positive,the level of personality intelligence is above average,and the overall level of professional decision-making self-efficacy is high.Some demographic variables have significant differences in parenting style,personality intelligence,and professional decision-making self-efficacy.(2)Parenting style,personality intelligence and professional decision-making self-efficacy are significantly correlated.(3)Parenting style has a significant positive predictive effect on personality intelligence.Personality intelligence has a positive predictive effect on self-efficacy in professional decision-making.Personality intelligence plays a partial mediating role between parenting style and self-efficacy in professional decision-making.(4)The main factors affecting the self-efficacy of senior high school students’ professional decision-making include: parents’ influence,information literacy,others’ opinions and life attitudes.Among them,senior high school students’ information identification,self understanding and self planning play an irreplaceable role in influencing professional choice,which are closely related to the research category of personality intelligence.To sum up,this study proposes to change the parenting style,create a good educational environment,pay attention to students’ professional choice,career planning,and attach importance to cultivating students’ information literacy and positive life attitude.It hopes to provide suggestions for family education and school education,reduce students’ blindness in professional choice,help students form a firm professional concept,and make rational career planning. |
