Aesthetic education,as a form of education aimed at cultivating a sound personality and promoting the comprehensive,coordinated and harmonious development of people’s various abilities,plays an irreplaceable role.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the universal role and significance of aesthetic education have been highly valued and regarded as an important way for Bacon to cast his soul.At present,the people’s internal demand for aesthetic education such as culture and art is also increasing.The huge changes in economic and social development have put forward new requirements for urban culture to further strengthen the reform impetus and stimulate innovation vitality.Public education in art museums,as an important starting point for the national aesthetic education,is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.Nowadays,many domestic art museums still put exhibition at the top of their functions,and the role of art museums in public education has not been fully played.On the basis of the existing development,how to innovate and improve the public education services of art museums,better adapt to the diverse,high-quality and personalized cultural and artistic needs of citizens,and let citizens get better aesthetic education experience will be the focus of this study.This study is based on the current situation of public education in the state-owned art museums in Shanghai,summarizes the existing paths and problems of public education in the state-owned art museums,innovatively applies the new public service theory,establishes an analytical framework of "public education service in the art museums" including three levels of "education service concept","education service model" and "education service ability",and analyzes the practical cases of public education in the state-owned art museums in Shanghai using the analytical framework,Further refine the successful genes of the case and trigger new thinking.On this basis,three aspects of public education service improvement of state-owned art museums are proposed: first,expand the educational connotation based on the concept of "serving the public";The second is to build innovative education service mode based on integration;Third,rely on talent cultivation to enhance service capacity.Through investigation and research,specific optimization measures are proposed:strengthen audience research and provide accurate services;Subdivide audience needs and create independent public education brands;Expand and update the space and continue to expand the influence of the public education of the art museum;Channel development and upgrading to effectively tap social resources;Technology empowers digital transformation and iteratively upgrades the service model;Establish volunteer service base;Carry out the training of public education professionals in art museums.
