The Public Education Museum is a comprehensive local social education institution that was transformed or reorganized in the popular education movement during the time of the Republic of China.Before 1949,it was responsible for cultural relics and archaeology,art collection and protection,art exhibitions,research and education in provinces,cities,and counties that had not yet established museums.Its museum aesthetic education sprouted from the rise of social art education and the boom of museum construction.Its functionality of displaying,collecting,explaining,and imparting art knowledge to raise people's aesthetic consciousness was entrusted by the government in the form of legislation.The public education museum,as the center of the social education system,plays a undeniably important role in transforming national character and serving the cause of social art.In the past,in art history,general history of museums or case studies,there were few research results and documentary records on art education in the Public Education Museum,and they lacked completeness and systemic.Therefore,this article selects the physical collections,exhibitions,lectures,publications,training and other aesthetic education measures of the Public Education Museum from 1927 to 1949 as the object of investigation to study its practical process,philosophy,characteristics and historical value.First of all,enter the perspective of social education and museum history,analyze the ideological roots of museum aesthetic education,sort out the actual social background and specific process of the aesthetic education work system of the Public Education Museum,and clarify the inevitability of the Public Education Museum as an important social aesthetic education field.Then,based on the intersection of the the art and museums fields fields,we will comprehensively examine the methods,principles,and practiced and practices used by the well-established public education museums in Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Shanghai,Yunnan,Shandong and other places in non-wartime conditions,they perform the functions of the museum's social aesthetic education,the principles and content of teaching.Trying to grasp the implementation point,overall situation and achievements of this kind of aesthetic education practice field for art and museum work.Immediately afterwards,we will deeply interpret how the Public Education Museum that in the Rear Area during the Anti-Japanese War,which has been less studied in the past how to seize the opportunity of improving the status of art education and cultural protection during the national crisis,relying on the advantages of educational policies and cultural location conditions to assist and undertake ethnic culture Protection,public art education,etc.,in order to affirm the significance of the art education work of the public education museum in unifying the artist's thinking,accelerating the process of art popularization,balancing the distribution of social art education resources,and defending and rebuilding national culture.On the basis of the above analysis,it is necessary to address two pairs of contradictions,the general laws of art museums and the cultural characteristics of the public education museums,the general regulations of the public education museums and the actual situation of art education in each museum,and further generalize the public education museums and professional art that are similar in nature.The commonality of the museum in the public art education work,analyze the more prominent civilian,practical,pluralistic,guiding characteristics and the causes of the public education museum than the professional art museum,and discover the distinctive regional characteristics of the public education museum,advantages such as strong synergy and high universal coverage.Finally,we summarize the role of the Public Education Museum in the modern transformation of Chinese social art education and the development of the museum itself during the war and the troubled national economy,and affirm the progressive significance of the Public Education Museum in the localization of art education and museum undertakings.,But also to look at the causes of some existing problems in his work dialectically.It is hoped that through sorting out and studying historical historical materials and typical cases of important reference value,the public education museum's historical contribution to the development of the aesthetic education of modern Chinese museums can be objectively revealed,and its unique position in museum history and art history can be clarified.Furthermore,it presents a complete picture of the early development of museum aesthetic education and complements the incompleteness of the historical territory of social art education.
