As a large private newspaper that moved to Guizhou during the war,Dagang Daily not only gathered a large number of progressive writers and audiences through its unbiased philosophy and good journalistic performance,but also published many progressive literary works through its literary supplement,Position,which inspired a large number of writers to submit articles due to its good dissemination effect.This study takes as its object the literary works published in the 281 issues of the Guiyang edition of the newspaper "Position",focusing on the socio-cultural activities of the Guiyang edition of the newspaper and its literary supplement "Position",and in turn exploring the ideological,artistic,historical and cultural values of the works in the supplement "Position".In addition,with the help of a sociological approach to literature,the social activities of Dagang Daily and its literary and artistic supplement,The Front,are used as a small window into how Guizhou literature,under the influence of the social conditions of the time,was transformed from a "cultural wasteland" with "no borders and no interior,many hills and rocks" to a "cultural wasteland " It also explores the interrelationship between social and cultural ecology and literary creation.This chapter explores the relationship between social and cultural ecology and literary creation.In the first chapter,the history of the publication of Guiyang’s Dagang Daily and its literary supplement Position is examined.On the one hand,it compares the Dagang Daily,on which the supplement is based,and briefly analyses its media positioning,editorial team and audience groups,with a view to better understanding the space for the survival of Position.On the other hand,the editorial philosophy and the creative community of the "Position" supplement are clarified,the literary character of the publication is examined,and the dusty literary jewels are removed from the dust of history.The second chapter examines the literary works published in the supplements of Positions.This chapter will sort and systematically study the poetry,prose,novels,essays,book reviews,prefaces and plays published in the supplements of The Front,and analyse the important works in depth in order to discover the important literary and research values of The Front.The third chapter is devoted to the important anonymous works and first editions of the "Position" supplements.This chapter focuses on the anonymous works of poetry,the first editions of prose,and other important anonymous works,and examines the important anonymous works and editions of writers in the supplements of The Position,in order to explore their important literary and historical values and cultural values.The fourth chapter explores the social activities and cultural influence of the Front’s supplements and Guiyang’s Dagang Daily to uncover their value in the era of progressive struggle.In addition,the brief prosperity and fragmentation of the foreign newspaper Front in Guiyang is used as a case study of the literary ecology of Guizhou in the post-war period,with a view to examining the realistic factors that led to the gradual quieting down of Guizhou literature in the post-war period,which was even "neglected" for a while.Through the examination and in-depth study of the original literary publication of the "Position" supplement,it is found that the supplement not only had a rich variety of literature and a high overall standard of publication,but also its unifying and progressive cultural philosophy had a certain social influence throughout Guizhou and even in the Great Rear.Through the case of Guiyang’s Dagang Daily and its literary supplement Position,one can not only glimpse the historical landscape of Guizhou’s literary prosperity during the war,but also the social reality of its post-war separation and even eventual suspension of publication,which also reflects the social fact that Guizhou’s post-war literature had to fall into dismal decline due to the lack of internal social and cultural drive and the long-standing reality of spiritual depression.It contains a wealth of historical and cultural information,and has a certain documentary and research value.
