With the development of society and the progress of science and technology,people’s life style has been greatly enriched and changed.At the same time,people-to-people exchanges have long gone beyond national boundaries and realized international exchanges and cooperation.As the number of Chinese students studying abroad has been increasing year after year,the education of students studying in China has also received great attention.In the late 1990 s,the second language teaching with the main goal of cultivating students’ intercultural communication ability was established.Therefore,the importance of Chinese teaching while carrying out intercultural communication competence cannot be ignored.In teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the importance of culture is getting more and more prominent.As the main course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,it is particularly necessary to study the cultural factors in the development of elementary and advanced comprehensive textbooks.This paper mainly takes Developing Chinese · Elementary Comprehensive Ⅰ,Developing Chinese Elementary Comprehensive Ⅱ,Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Ⅰ and Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Ⅱ as the research object.This paper classifies the cultural factors in the four textbooks and summarizes the compilation principles of cultural factors in different stages.Offer your own opinions and suggestions.This study mainly aims to answer the following questions: 1.What is the arrangement of cultural factors in textbooks at the elementary and advanced stages? Second,what are the changing rules of cultural factors in the textbooks of the two stages? Thirdly,through the introduction of cultural factors,can the teaching efficiency be improved in the teaching process?In this paper,from the angle of FLT,the author uses the method of qualitative analysis to consult and organize the relevant literature about culture,and then analyses the textbook.Secondly,two textbooks,"Developing Chinese · Elementary Synthesis"(Volume I-II)and "Developing Chinese Advanced Synthesis"(Volume I-II),are selected to make a comparative analysis through statistical analysis of their cultural factors.Finally,this paper summarizes and concludes the distribution of cultural factors in textbooks and puts forward corresponding suggestions.The main findings of this study are as follows: First,from the overall comparison of the two phases,it is found that Developing Chinese Primary Comprehensive is less distributed than Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive.but the teaching materials of each stage have advantages and disadvantages.The total number of cultural factors in the upper and lower volumes of the Chinese comprehensive is equal in Primary Comprehensive of Developing Chinese and the number of the second volume is on the rise.The total volume of the second volume shows a downward trend;This textbook is a language textbook,mainly teaching language knowledge,and advanced students have mastered intermediate Chinese grammar,learned more common words,proverbs,idioms,idioms and other familiar words,so the cultural factors of language in the textbook are relatively high.Secondly,by comparing the occurrence rules of cultural factors in the two textbooks,we find the distribution and recurrence of cultural factors in notes,texts and exercises.Thirdly,through the advantages and disadvantages of the presentation of cultural factors in the textbook,it summarizes and puts forward some views and suggestions for the compilation of the textbook.
