The Study Of Vietnamese Envoys’responding Poems

Vietnamese envoys who visited to China had left a large number of presponding poems,which can be divided into three types according to different functions.First,political responding poems,which undertake the function of political diplomacy.Second,social responding poems,which undertake the function of communication.Third,literary responding poems,which undertake the function of literary communication and competition.There are significant differences in the style of the three types of responding poems.Political responding poems convey the will of the state,with the most orderly and elegant language,which in respectful and cautious style.Social responding poems express personal feelings,including greetings,farewell,homesickness,asceticism,discussion,nostalgia,reasoning and complaints.The higher the social status of and the more alienated the relationship with the participants,the more neat,identical and stylized the poems will be.The lower the status of and the closer the relationship with the participant,the more flexible and daily the poems will be.Literary responding poems are multidimensional descriptions of the same object.According to the theme,it can be divided into four kinds: object-chanting,responding ancient poems,describing scenery and joint sentences.When the participants are from the same race,the communication and cooperation of responding are more competitive,and the poems are plain and stable.When the participants are foreign,the competition of singing pay is more communicational and cooperational,the poems are more novel.The factors affecting the style of the three types of poetry are also different.For political reponding poems,the most important factor is the legitimacy of new Vietnamese regime.Second,the relation of China and new regime.Finally,envoys’ thought for new regime,which has less influence.The influence of state is more important than individual.For social and literary responding poems,the influence of individuals is more significant than that of the times and countries.The decisive factors affecting the former are the social identity of the responding participants and the relationship between them,and the historical background has little influence;.The decisive factor affecting the latter is the national identity of the singing object,and the participants’ poetry level and inheritance of the original poetry will also have a certain impact.
