| Jiagenba Town,Kangding City,is a multi-ethnic township.It was formed by the merger of the original Jiagenba Township and Pengbuxi Township in 2019.The language ecology in the region varies greatly,which is of great research value.This article mainly uses research methods such as field surveys,field interviews and data analysis,based on the relevant theories of eco-linguistics,combined with the UNESCO index system on language endangerment,and Li Yuming’s theory of language function classification,aiming to analyze Describe and evaluate the linguistic ecology of Jiagenba Town.The introduction part briefly introduces the reason for choosing the topic,the research object,the research background,the research method,the theoretical basis and quantitative index system of the paper.According to the questionnaire data obtained from field investigation,this paper describes the current situation of language ecology in Jiagenba Town from the aspects of language attitude,language ability and language use,etc.,and uses SPSS analysis software to input and analyze 279 questionnaires.From the perspective of longitudinal comparison,older respondents have a higher proportion of monolingual groups,and most of them are ethnic monolinguals.There are more multilingual groups among middle-aged and young respondents,especially young respondents.From a horizontal comparison,the Muya language of Pengbuxi Township is well preserved,and most people still regard it as their native language.The villagers in Jiagenba Township have completely switched to Tibetan Kang dialect,and some young people even do not know what Muya language is.According to UNESCO’s language protection and language endangerment documents,the vitality of the Muya language is quantitatively evaluated from 9 indicators such as the intergenerational inheritance of the Muya language and the absolute number of language users,and the comprehensive language vitality of the local Muya language is obtained.The index value is between the 1st level and zero level,belonging to the critically endangered level.Based on Li Yuming’s language function classification index system,it is concluded that the common ethnic languages in Jiagenba Town,especially the Muya language,have very limited tool functions and cultural functions.In the short term,the dominant position of Chinese will be more consolidated,the status of Tibetan Kang dialect will be temporarily stable,the status of Muya will continue to weaken,and bilingual(multilingual)groups will develop steadily.In the long run,Chinese will have an absolute advantage,the number of native language monolingual groups will gradually decrease,and the number of language switchers will continue to increase.Finally,from the perspective of micro-language planning,mainly family language planning and community language planning,to discuss the ecological balance of language in Jiagenba Town. |
